Preparation of metal honeycomb core
The preparation methods of metal honeycomb core material include unfolding method, pressure bonding forming method and pressure brazing forming method.
(1) Expansion method: the core glue is coated on the metal foil by the printer (or manually) to form the strip. The two adjacent layers of metal foil coated with the strip should make the strip stagger, that is, the strip of the upper layer of paper is located just in the middle of the two adjacent strips of the next layer of paper. A honeycomb core board is formed by bonding the metal foils together in this way. When the adhesives are fully cured, the honeycomb core is cut into strips of honeycomb core with the required height. Then the honeycomb core is stretched out and solidified with the immersion setting adhesive, and the honeycomb core is formed.
(2) Pressure bonding forming method: first, semi-hexagonal corrugated plate is made by hand pasting or die pressing on the waveform die, and then the core is bonded with adhesive. The honeycomb core made by pressure forming has the right honeycomb cell size and can be made into honeycomb core of any size. But it needs a lot of moulds, and the production efficiency is low, so it is seldom used.
(3) Pressure brazing forming method: Yamaguchi, Japan, developed brazing method for manufacturing honeycomb cores in 1994. Its manufacturing process is about to be a certain width of the slab according to the shape of semi-regular hexagonal corrugated processing, to form a honeycomb. Then the honeycomb core is clamped by two upper and lower plates. After fixing with fixture, the honeycomb core is welded by laser spot welding machine on the parallel plane.
